Personality: G'riol is a joker and a clown.
He's
one for pulling pranks and making people
laugh. He's extremely outgoing, almost
annoying at times. He has never been
known to frown. He thrives on attention
and the spotlight.
History: G'riol lived the performers life before coming to Tanora Weyr. He and his identical triplet brothers Tiparlus and Reniarlus were part of a traveling entertainment group, along with their
parents. They traveled the Southern and
Northern continents and gave
performances. T'par and G'riol are
acrobats. They were both very lithe and
could perform difficult stunts. They
were one of the most popular acts in the
show because it was very hard to keep
track of which is which. G'riol received
Ali, his avian, five years ago from a
satisfied spectator. His brothers
received their pets at the same time.
The traveling group recently came to
Tanora Weyr and asked to perform there.
After the show, G'riol and his brothers
were Searched. They were thrilled to be
able to stand as Candidates. But the
leader of the troupe, Calman, had other
ideas. He planned to snatch the
triplets back from the Weyr and use them
for his own purposes. It didn't go as
well as Calman planned. T'par fled and
gave warning, while Reniarlus was killed
in the confusion. G'riol disappeared
into the wilds of the Southern
Continent. It took him a while to find any sort of civilization, and he was sick for a long time after. He was able to watch his brother stand and Impress, but he wasn't able to be a Candidate until right before the next Hatching, when he Impressed blue Kamenth.
